Old World Greatness!

Travel Cathedral of The Resurrection of Christ in Saint Petersburg, RussiaThis city was founded by in 1703, by the ruler of the country.  It served as the country’s capital until 1918, when the capital was established in a different city.  It is the second largest city and is still known as the cultural capital.  This particular cathedral was built on the site where a famous ruler was assassinated and was dedicated in his memory.  The historic centre of the city and related monuments has been named as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
