Second Degree murder charges recommended against 22 year old suspect
White Rock: A White Rock man was found dead in his home near beach at the 900 block of Ash Street. RCMP attended the home in response to several 911 calls about a dispute in progress, on Aug 10 evening.
Police found one injured male and two injured females there. The male victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two injured woman were taken to hospital.
The suspect was seen throwing objects and knives off of the balcony of the home and then fled on foot. He was tracked and taken in custody by the White Rock RCMP short time later.
“There were several witnesses in the area at the time of this occurrence and IHIT is asking witnesses, who haven’t spoken with police to come forward with information,” says Staff Sgt. Jennifer Pound
IHIT was called in to take conduct of this investigation and are recommending charges of Second Degree Murder and two counts of Assault Causing Bodily Harm against the 22 year old suspect.
