Two pedestrians got injured at the intersection of 72 Ave and 132 street in Surrey

Two pedestrians,  a male and a female in their mid 20’s got injured, who had been crossing 72nd Ave., in the marked cross walk on the east side of the intersection with 130th St.  A white or light coloured vehicle, possibly a Mazda that had been traveling northbound, on  130th Ave., and struck the two pedestrians in the marked cross walk , as it had turned eastbound onto 72nd Ave.  The vehicle did not stop, and speed off eastbound on 72nd Ave.
Both pedestrians were transported to hospital by the B.C. Ambulance Service, and are being treated for non-life threatening lower body injuries, consisting of several fractures.  The suspect vehicle is still outstanding.  The vehicle would have damage to the front and hood  area of the vehicle
Surrey R.C.M.P. are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or observed the light coloured Mazda type vehicle speeding away from the scene of the collision, are asked to call the Surrey R.C.M.P. at 604-599-0502 or to call Crime Stoppers.
