Comox Valley: On July 17th in Comox Valley a backpack was stolen from the Courtenay library. The owner of the backpack is a German national who is visiting Canada for vacationing with her boyfriend.
Cst. Marcel Slofstra was dispatched to the crime and viewed video of the area the theft took place and identified a suspect whom he was familiar with. Extensive patrols were made and several individuals spoken with in regards to the theft. The suspect was eventually located and the back pack and passports were recovered.
