Theft from elderly male leads to appeal from Surrey RCMP

Surrey: RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect involved in a theft.
On April 26th, 2013 at approximately 10:15am, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a theft in the 10100 block of King George Boulevard. Upon attendance, police learned that an elderly male had just exited a financial institution in the area when he was approached by an unknown male who bumped into him and stole his envelope containing his money. The elderly male, who uses a walker to get around, stumbled backwards and began yelling for help. Witnesses who came to the victim’s aid observed the suspect running northbound through the parking lot towards 101st Avenue.
The suspect is described as being a white male, in his mid 20’s, 5’6” to 5’8”, slim build, wearing light grey clothing similar to a track suit, with a “bowl” style haircut. Please see attached a composite sketch. The elderly male was uninjured however police believe this was a targeted incident.
