Surrey RCMP is advising the public of a single vehicle collision involving a pedestrian in the Sullivan area of Surrey last evening.

On May 23 at approximately 5:30 pm, Surrey RCMP Frontline officers responded to multiple reports of a collision at the intersection of Highway 10 and 152 Street. Once on scene, officers determined a silver Audi Q5 was travelling westbound and struck a pedestrian who was crossing Highway 10. The pedestrian, a 54-year-old male, was transported to hospital with serious life-altering injuries. The driver, a 36-year-old female, remained on scene and is cooperating with the police investigation. Early indications are that the pedestrian was crossing from the south-side to the north-side in the crosswalk against the walking direction signals. Speed nor impairment are considered factors in the collision.

Surrey RCMP’s Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) has conduct of the investigation and attended the scene along with officers from the Integrated Collision Analyst and Reconstruction Services (ICARS).
