Surrey:The Surrey Board of Trade has announced the finalists for its 18th Annual Police Officer of the Year Awards. Winners in the eight categories will be honored at the gala event taking place on October 9, 2014 at the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel in Surrey.

The Surrey RCMP along with Surrey’s Auxiliary officers, civilian employees and volunteers will join members of Surrey’s business community to celebrate those individuals who have been chosen by their peers and the public to receive the Police Officer of the Year Awards.

The various categories of nominations for awards are Arnold Silzer Community Policing Initiative Award Nominees, Police and Business Partnership Award Nominees, Municipal Employee Award Nominees, Volunteer of the Year Nominees, Auxiliary Constable of the Year Nominees, Police Officer of the Year – Nominated By Peers, Police Officer Of The Year – Nominated By Community, Police Team.
