ABBOTSFORD Police announced on Friday morning that they were trying to locate Hardeep Singh, 26, a priest of Abbotsford’s Gurdwara Baba Banda Singh Bahadar Sikh Society in the 31600 block of South Fraser Way. He has been working at the gurdwara as a visiting priest from India.
He was reported missing from the gurdwara on the evening of Thursday, November 28.
Hardeep Singh has been in Canada since August 5. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants and a blue turban. It is believed that he left with personal effects and cash. He has not made contact with any of his sponsors. He is scheduled to return to India on February 5, 2014.
Anyone with information about Hardeep SINGH should call the APD at 604-859-5225 or text 222973 (abbypd).

LAST April, Gurnam Singh, 30, the member of a kirtan jatha from India at Abbotsford’s Gurdwara Sahib Kalgidhar Darbar who was to have caught a flight to India on April 28, was reported missing by his work sponsor on April 29.
But a month later, Abbotsford Police announced that a detective from their Major Crime Unit had made contact with him.
Police said: “It was determined that Singh was staying with an acquaintance in Calgary.”
Gurnam Singh was reportedly sponsored for the Abbotsford gurdwara by a former president of Surrey’s Guru Nanak Gurdwara and recommended by an Akali Dal MLA in Punjab, India.
