Shooting with non-life threatening injuries

Surrey RCMP is advising the public of a shooting which occurred in the Whalley area yesterday evening.

On July 25, at approximately 4:50 pm, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of an injured man in the 10800-block of 139A Street. Police located the man, who had apparently been shot in the leg, and he was subsequently transported to hospital. He was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The Surrey RCMP’s General Investigation Unit is continuing the investigation. The preliminary information indicates that this was not a random incident and involved parties known to one another.

Police are still in the evidence gathering stage of the investigation, with no further information at this time.
