AlisonRedfordCalgary: The president of the Alberta Progressive Conservative Party says Alison Redford paid a personal and political price for her mistakes.

Jim McCormick says he has mixed feelings about Redford’s resignation as member of the legislature for Calgary-Elbow.

He says her premiership started out with such promise, but he adds “her own personal choices” led to her demise.

McCormick says Redford is alleged to have broken government rules, and taxpayer dollars were not treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.

He says that circumstance won’t happen again.

McCormick concludes by saying the Progressive Conservative Association of Alberta “is more than one person.”
