Edmonton: Premier Redford has dismissed accusations of extravagance. On Wednesday, at an event, Redford said she was “quite surprised” by the price tag to transport her to South Africa for the funeral of the former South African president and she wouldn’t have gone if she had known. The travel expense of $45,000 for trip the Redford’s trip to Nelson Mandela’s funeral has become a topic of debate in the province with opposition accusing the Premier of wasting taxpayers’ money.
