West Shore: West Shore RCMP are investigating after fishing line was strung across two roads in Langford. Officers got a call on June 29 from a woman who said she had driven through fishing line strung across Hull Road at Jenkins Avenue. Police located over 100 feet of fishing line that had been removed from Glen Lake Road.

West Shore RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Kathy Rochlitz said, “we are aware that a similar situation has been reported to Victoria Police Department as well. It is fortunate that no one was injured by this act as the fish line was strung at the height that would impact a person riding a bike.”

Police appealed that if anyone with information on who is responsible could contact West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264 or Crimestoppers.
