Victoria: Nominations for the honorary designation of Queen’s Counsel are being accepted until Oct. 10, by the Ministry of Justice.

The title is bestowed by the attorney general, based on recommendations from an advisory committee, and recognizes British Columbia lawyers for distinctive merit and contribution to the legal profession.

The Q.C. designation is an honour conferred annually on members of the legal profession to recognize exceptional merit and contribution. The successful candidates will have demonstrated professional integrity and good character, and have been a member of the British Columbia bar for at least five years.
