Winnipeg: On Sunday, during the final minutes of a game between teams from the Brokenhead Ojibway First Nation and the Sagkeeng First Nation as part of the Southeast Winter Tribal Days hockey tournament a scuffle broke out and when referees stepped into to break the fight, 12 year old Kainen Bell broke his forearm. Parents of Kainen believe that referee singled out their son and man handled him. Police are investigating the incident and it remains to be seen if any charges will be laid against the referee, Bell’s parents are consulting lawyers.
