Humjoli-ChandraFamous photographer Chandra Bodalia passed away after battling with throat cancer. He was well known photojournalist in Indo-Canadian Community.

He came to Canada in 1976 and started his career as a photojournalist. In his 40 year of photography he attended most of the events and captured lots of community stories. He was most famous and respected South Asian photographer in Lower Mainland who was recalled by most politicians, businessman, professionals and even former prime ministers Jean Chretien, Paul Martin and Stephen Harper.

A big loss to community. RIP!

On January 17, City of Richmond Mayor Malcolm Brodie honoured Chandra Bodalia ‘The Photographer’ at Richmond City Hall. Kal Rangi introduced Chandra to Malcolm Brodie for almost 15 years ago. Since then almost all of the annual & other events have been covered by Chandra. Malcolm Brodie himself donated $1000 to Chandra's cause along with $500 from Minister John Yap.
