Geneva: A panel of experts mandated by the UN’s Human Rights Council said North Koreans had suffered “unspeakable atrocities”, and that those responsible, including leader Kim Jong-un, must face justice.The panel heard evidence of torture, political repression and other crimes. But, Pyongyang refused to co-operate with the report and rejects its conclusions. Testimony to the panel has included an account of a woman forced to drown her own baby, children imprisoned from birth and starved. The report details extreme cruelty that citizens of North Korea undergo at the hands of their own regime. The panel hopes that shocking details of soon to be tabled report is going to ignite a debate among international community and the all nations will come together to alleviate the suffering of North Koreans.
