ON Monday (January 13) night, members of the Richmond RCMP responded along with BC Ambulance and the Richmond Fire Department to a 911 call of an injured male having been found in the 8400 block of Steveston Highway in Richmond
Police said: “Efforts were made to help this male but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The injuries observed were consistent with the male having been the victim of a homicide. As a result, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team was called and have taken conduct of the investigation.
“We remain in the early stages of the investigation and IHIT is working with investigators from the Richmond RCMP to piece together the circumstances surrounding this homicide,” said Sgt. Adam MacIntosh of IHIT.
IHIT is looking for information from anyone who may have been in the area of Steveston Hwy between # 3 and #4 roads between 3 and 4 p.m. on January 13 who observed any suspicious persons, vehicle or circumstances to call the IHIT Tipline at 1-877-551-4448 by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
