Surrey: On Thursday, October 12th, Liberal Members of Parliament from the Surrey and Delta ridings hosted a joint Meet and Greet with the Honourable Navdeep Singh Bains at Crown Palace Banquet Hall. Member of Parliament and Pacific Caucus Chair, Randeep Singh Sarai, opened the event by welcoming several hundreds of guests that were in attendance and introducing the Honourable Navdeep Singh Bains, followed by words from colleagues Sukh Dhaliwal, Ken Hardie, John Aldag and the Honourable Carla Qualtrough.
“It’s my honour to welcome the Honourable Navdeep Singh Bains who has been working with me to make sure B.C., and Surrey in particular, is a growing and thriving hub for business and innovation. The Liberal Party of Canada is committed to making sure these investments are felt right here in B.C.”
Navdeep Singh Bains currently serves as the Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and represents the riding of Mississauga—Malton. Earlier that day Bains announced a historic Digital Technology Supercluster Initiative in B.C. “By investing in individual innovation superclusters across Canada, we are helping them become engines of growth that will energize Canada’s economy. This initiative is the first of its kind in Canada and will help create thousands of good, well-paying middle-class jobs”, said Bains. The Liberal government has invested $950 million throughout the country to create superclusters that will develop opportunities for Canadian businesses and be felt in British Columbia.
The event was free for the public and well attended by many Liberal Party of Canada supporters and community leaders.
