Surrey: Writer Mohan Gill’s poems entitled “Moksha” was launched recently at Guild ford Public Library in Surrey with the supports of Hindi Literary Society of Canada on May 4, 2014 Deepa Sharma, President of HLSOC welcomed the enthusiastic poetry lovers and formally released the book amidst loud clapping.
The book contains seven long poems written in free and blank verse; and printed in art paper and handsomely bound, The title- Mokasha certainly has religious and spiritual connotation. But Mohan has given an unique approach to established concept by relating it with mother’s womb.
Mohan Gill, who has dedicated this book to his Maan, Badi Maan and Bebe acknowledged the huge contribution of his wife-Manjit Kaur for her inspiration and critical appreciation. He got quite emotional while reciting a long poem from the book.
The book launching ceremony was chaired by Acharya Dwivedi and followed by poetry recital session-Kari Darbar in that distinguished literary personalities- Nadeem Parmar, Inderjit Sidhu, Gill Moranwali,”Ashok Bhargava, HerdevSodhi-”Ashak”,Jarnail Singh Sekhon, Herchand Singh “Baagdi”, Anand Jain, Ms. Khaira, Arti Rishi, Pusplata Sharma and Ramendra Singh congratulated Mohan Gill for his book and recited their poems.
