New Delhi, Jan 7 (IANS) Leading automobile manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India on Thursday launched auto gear shift (AGS) technology powered diesel DZire sedan.

“Auto Gear Shift, a two-pedal technology, enables customers to drive with comfort and convenience, especially in congested city conditions,” said Maruti Suzuki India executive director, marketing and sales, R.S. Kalsi in a statement.

Dzire is the fourth car from Maruti Suzuki stable to emerge with AGS technology following hatchbacks Celerio, Alto K10 and Wagon R.

Also know as automated manual transmission, clutchless or two-pedal technology, AGS makes diving easy and comfortable.

Available in the top end ZDi version of DZire, the AGS powered car comes for Rs.8.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the statement added.
