Marihuana Grow-op located in Lamont

Edmonton: A total of 282 marihuana plants were seized from a Lamont home last week in an Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) grow-op investigation. ALERT’s Green Team North, and members of the Edmonton Police Service and Fort Saskatchewan RCMP executed a search warrant at a rural Lamont residence on March 14th. Inside the home police located three separate rooms used for growing marihuana with 282 marihuana plants in various stages of maturation. The total value of the marihuana plants seized is estimated at $338,400. Approximately $3,500 worth of growing equipment was also removed from the home. A 64-year-old Lamont man was arrested at the home without incident. Vincent Dickson is charged with production of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
