Vancouver: BC. NDP leadership candidate John Horgan continues to strengthen his

team to take on the B.C. Liberals, welcoming the endorsement today of influential NDP

MP Nathan Cullen.

“Nathan is a strong leader in the NDP’s federal caucus and a leader on building the

green economy,” said Horgan. “Having his voice and support as part of my campaign is

so important to my vision for a united and forward-looking B.C. NDP.”

“British Columbians are tired of the B.C. Liberals’ empty slogans, service cuts and job

losses,” added Horgan. “They are telling me they want to be inspired with a real vision

for the province, and I’m building the dynamic and exciting team to do it.”

Cullen was first elected in 2004 and has since been re-elected three times as the NDP

MP for Skeena-Bulkley Valley. He is the federal Opposition Finance Critic.

“John believes in good resource jobs that respect the planet and benefit local

communities, and he can connect with British Columbians in any part of the province,”

said Cullen. “This is the only way we’re going to build a 21st century British Columbia

and John is the leader to get the job done.”

John Horgan is offering real leadership to make life better for B.C. families. He is

building a team that can inspire British Columbians with a better way, beat the B.C.

Liberals in 2017 and govern for the whole province.
