Victoria: After the Mike Farnworth confirmed he is out of race MLA John Horgan is set to be the next leader of BC NDP. Farnworth made the announcement on Tuesday in Victoria in presence of Horgan and the entire NDP caucus.
The party leader MLA Adrian Dix is stepping down after NDP’s defeated by BC Liberals in 2013 provincial election. The party had scheduled a leadership convention for the fall, but it is now expected Horgan will be acclaimed as leader. The deadline for nominations for the party’s leadership is May 1
