Integrated Homicide Investigation Team investigates suspicious death in Surrey’s Whalley

ON January 1 at about 1 a.m., the Surrey RCMP received a call of a possible domestic disturbance between a 23-year-old male and 19-year-old female at an apartment building in the 13000 block of 100 Avenue in Surrey.

Upon arrival the female was located on the ground after an apparent fall from the 26th floor.  The female succumbed to her injuries and the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team  has taken conduct of the investigation.

The male resident is currently in custody; however, no charges have been laid in this incident.

“IHIT investigators and the Surrey RCMP are working together at this very preliminary stage of the investigation.” Said IHIT Sgt. Adam MacIntosh.
