India election announced: World’s Largest Poll Exercise
New Delhi: Election Commission of India announced the general election, which will be held from April 7 to May 12 in nine phases. The votes will be counted on May 16.
814 million people are eligible to vote in this election, over 100 million more than 2009. There are 9, 30,000 polling stations in the country. In fact, we can say its world’s biggest democratic process.
This is the first general election in which voters will have the “None of The Above” option if they do not like any of the candidates in their constituency.
