farrow2014 has gone by and the world has entered the New Year, 2015. In the recent years we have seen that the world has an imbalance when it comes to the natural harmony on the planet and the material kingdom. This is because humanity has lost its connection with the spiritual basis of life.
home_new_photo1For millennia our Vedic tradition of knowledge has been the source of spiritual knowledge and practices like meditation, yoga and yagya. The tradition of training authentic Vedic experts – Vedic Pandits – has been in steady decline.
Brahmananda Saraswati Foundation is a non-profit organization that is leading the way in training Vedic Pandits in their ancient role of connecting humanity to its spiritual source and as peace-keepers for society. Founded by the late Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the 1980’s, this organization has trained over 50,000 Vedic Pandits, many of whom are employed in temples and mandirs throughout India, Canada and the world. Maharishi revived the tradition of large groups of Vedic Pandits performing Yog and Yagya daily to restore harmony and dharma in society.
In recent years science has been investigating whether it is possible for such Vedic experts to produce this peace-creating effect in society. More than 20 experiments involving large groups of Maharishi Vedic Pandits practicing Yog and Yagya together has shown positive results. During periods when a large enough group is together, there are significant decreases in societal problems such as crime, armed conflict and negative economic trends and increases in peace, co-operation and cultural integrity.
All of this points to a practical and effective way to maintain greater peace and restore balance in our world that only our tradition can offer.
Brahmananda Saraswati Foundation & the Maharishi Vedic Pandits wish everyone a very Happy New Year and Happy Lohri.
