Eshyr Sahota-42_rszThe Wilson School of Design at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) is home to the university’s unique design programs, ranging from one-year certificates, to four-year undergraduate degrees, and even a post-baccalaureate diploma. KPU offers the only four year fashion and technology degree program of its kind in Western Canada, and the university’s interior design program was the first in the province to receive accreditation from the Council for Interior Design Accreditation. Other Wilson School of Design programs include foundations in design, fashion marketing, product design, graphic design for marketing, and technical apparel.

With over 300 apparel companies in Metro Vancouver, KPU’s design students are connected to industry leaders during their education as they gain valuable hands-on experience throughout their studies. Several of the university’s design programs feature work experience practicums, giving students the opportunity to further develop applied skills while making industry connections and building a professional network.

The Wilson School of design, based out of KPU’s Richmond campus, is currently expanding. A new five-story, LEED gold building, set to open in early 2018, is over 6,000 square metres, and will house several design programs, along with continuing and professional education options.

For more than 30 years, Kwantlen Polytechnic University has provided students with the skills they need for the careers they want. KPU offers a range of degree, diploma, certificate, and citation programs with opportunities for hands-on experience and experiential learning. Why stop at theory, when you can also harness the power of experience? Launch your career and make a positive impact on your community with experiential learning at KPU: where thought meets action.
