Delta: Delta council has voted 5-0 to prohibit the production of medical marijuana. The move will prohibit growing, storage and sale of medical marijuana within its boundaries. The new Delta Zoning Bylaw will prohibit “all aspects” of that industry in Delta, including manufacturing and testing.
A new federal law governing medical marijuana will come into effect on April 1 that will restrict licensed growers and order patients to destroy their remaining plants.
