BC Children’s Hospital to benefit from proceeds of all Blizzard Treat sales on Miracle Treat Day

Vancouver: On August 13, Vancouver Canucks alumni Kirk McLean and Darcy Rota will team up with Dairy Queen to support children treated at BC Children’s Hospital. The pair, along with Canucks mascot FIN, will be at the 5907 Fraser Street Dairy Queen store in Vancouver for the 13th annual Miracle Treat Day. Proceeds from every Blizzard Treat sold at that location, as well as at participating Dairy Queen stores across the province, will be donated to BC Children’s Hospital, one of 14 children’s hospitals across Canada supported by Children’s Miracle Network (CMN). Fans are encouraged to visit the DQ Grill & Chill at 5907 Fraser Street and buy a Blizzard to help save and improve the lives of children.

Miracle Treat Day is a one-day, national fundraising event that donates proceeds from all Blizzard Treats sold to Children’s Miracle Network member hospitals, including BC Children’s Hospital. Since the partnership began in 1984, DQ has become a top contributor to Children’s Miracle Network, with $100 million raised to date in support of sick and injured children across North America.

About Children’s Miracle Network

Children’s Miracle Network raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals, 14 of which are in Canada. These hospitals, in turn, use the money where it’s needed the most. When a donation is given, it stays in the community, ensuring that every dollar is helping local kids. Established in 1983, Children’s Miracle Network raises funds to support critical research and education, purchase life-saving equipment, and ensure excellence in care, all in support of its mission to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
