Toronto: New home prices in Canada rose 0.2 percent in February from the previous month, following a 0.3 percent monthly increase in January, Statistics Canada said on Thursday.
he metropolitan region of Calgary was the top contributor to the February gain, with prices up 0.9 percent. The combined Toronto-Oshawa region rose 0.2 percent, matching the previous month, while prices in Vancouver were flat.

NOTE: The median forecast of analysts surveyed by Reuters was for a 0.1 percent monthly increase in new home prices in February.
