Bomb threat at a High School in Cochrane, Alberta

Cochrane, Alberta: Cochrane RCMP received a complaint of a Bomb threat at Cochrane High School today. An unknown individual had spray painted on the outer wall of the school:

“there is a bomb insie (actual spelling)

ISIS is here ISIS is now.”

It appears the individual also attempted to gain access to the school by breaking a window. In the process the individual sustained cuts to themselves.

As students arrived they were redirected away from the school by staff and police. A search of the school was conducted by police and an RCMP service dog. No suspicious articles were located. Students were permitted back into the School just before 08:30 am.

RCMP are investigating the incident and are looking for the public’s assistance. Anyone that may have any information regarding the identity of the suspect or suspects to this offence are encouraged to call the Cochrane RCMP at (403)851-8000 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
