Mumbai: In a time when dance held a limited definition, Shiamak Davar took upon himself the task to expand the horizon and create a platform for dance enthusiasts to express themselves. A movement that started with the motto “Have Feet. Will Dance” celebrated unity in diversity as the students of Shiamak Davar’s Institute of Performing Arts Performed (SDIPA) on the theme

– Colors of India, an ode to modern India, its rich history, and the many cultures, festivals, traditions, art forms and everything that brings us together.

After a breathtaking performance in Pune last week, the students

of SDIPA also performed in Bangalore and Delhi. In Mumbai

, the evening saw performances by, Viaan Kundra, Varushka Khurrana, Rajveer and Khushi Bhanushali. To boost their confidence, were present Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Raj Kundra and Shamita Shetty along with Tahira Kashyap, Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij, Master

Marzi and many others marked their presence at the Winter Funk show.

Winters have become synonymous with this workshop. The Shiamak Winter Funk show is the annual theme-based student dance show performed by the students of SDIPA. Each year, the students of SDIPA’s Winter Funk batch learn their favorite dance styles like Hip Hop, Bollywood or Contemporary and at the end of the batch showcase their learning’s on the grand Winter Funk stage!

Over a while, the show has taken the shape of various themes and concepts. It’s a platform that has changed people’s lives forever. This year’s show encapsulated the rich and varied history of

India through various dance styles. The highlight of the show was the special performance by The Victory Arts Foundation Team.
