It’s been more than established that Akshay Kumar has always been vocal about his love and passion for the nation and the people who have faced struggles in their lives. Time and again, he has helped many in need and once again he has done the same. This time, the actor donated a Rs. 5 lakhs to acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.
Acid attack survivor and award-winning activist Laxmi Agarwal opened up about her financial condition and unemployment. Laxmi spoke about how she was struggling to make ends meet. She said that she had not been getting jobs in call centres for a year, which just made her struggle even worse.
Akshay Kumar stepped in to help and directly transferred Rs 5 lakh to her account. He said that it was a tiny gesture and the primary idea was to help Laxmi find her feet, without having to worry about rent and child support. He added that when a person is in need of livelihood, medals and awards do not pay bills.
