Vandals in North Vancouver poured out over 15 pails of paint throughout a new home. Extensive damage was done by paint being poured over appliances, counter tops, hardwood floor, toilets, into the fridge, on the walls and on the carpeted stairs.

On August 16, 2016 the contractor of the home under construction, on Mackay Avenue, arrived at work in the morning, shocked to discover that sometime over the previous night culprits had broken into the home and spread paint all over its interior. The home was a week away from being ready to move into. The builder estimates the damage to be well over eighty-thousand dollars.

This appears to be a break and enter with intentional malicious willful damage displaying a total disregard for someone’s personal property, said Cpl. Richard De Jong of the North Vancouver RCMP. Someone out there will have paint on themselves from throwing that much paint around and likely will be boasting about their criminal behaviour to someone.
