We often hear people complaining about their belly fat, however very few take an action to get rid of it. If you recognize yourself among those, try out these five solutions to get the flat stomach you have always been dreaming about!
1. Make breakfast your heaviest meal of the day
Eat most of the carbs you aim to consume through the day in the morning. This way they have a higher chance of getting burned to support your activities throughout the day than getting stored overnight and reproduced into fat cells on your stomach, hips and rest of the areas you may be concerned about.

2. Reduce stress
“Even if you usually eat well and exercise, chronic high stress can prevent you from losing weight—or even add pounds,” says Pamela Peeke, MD, author of Body for Life for Women. You are probably wondering how this is possible? Constant stress increases production of cortisol hormone which in turn tells your body that it might be in danger and needs extra resources. Higher cortisol levels reduce production of insulin, increase blood sugar and the capacity of the body to store more fat. To fight stress fat you need to find out ways to help you relax, whether it is a bubble bath, a yoga class, or even a nightly glass of wine.

3. Move more
And yes, taking stairs instead of the elevator helps, however it does not cover the daily requirement of exercise activity. Cardio helps with both cortisol level reduction and speeding up metabolism. Three birds with one stone! Reducing cortisol will reduce your stress levels, which in turn will reduce your belly fat. Aren’t these awesome reasons to work out?

4. Eat more fiber
According to Barbara Rolls, PhD, author of The Volumetrics Eating Plan, foods with high content of fiber, such as fruits and vegetables, make you feel full longer on fewer calories. Fiber increases speed of fat cells movement through the digestive system allowing only limited quantities to get absorbed. It also helps to remove carcinogens from (IG???) tract and improves bowel movement.

5. Stay well hydrated
Sufficient hydration speeds up metabolism and improves rate of caloric burn. If you would like to increase it further, stick to cold water since it must still be brought up to body temperature by the intestines before being absorbed. Add a few extra glasses of water a day and see the benefits for yourself!
