Ludhiana: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has set a new example in Indian politics. A large number of AAP volunteers led by party’s parliamentary candidate from Ludhiana constituency H S Phoolka cleaned the venue of Fateh Rally, organized by SAD-BJP at Jagraon. AAP described it as a symbol of cleaning of politics in the country. The volunteers from Ludhiana, Mullanpur Dakha, Jagraon, Moga and other villages led by Phoolka with their party’s symbol broom in hands took up actual cleaning of a large chunk of the venue spread over acres of land.
AAP Ludhiana office media in-charge Sandeep Mishra told Asian Journal that next day after the Fateh rally finished they visited the venue location; the area was presenting a dirty image littered with used disposable plates and plastic glasses all over. According to Sandeep Mishra of AAP the most shocking was finding of strips of used drugs and pouches of poppy husk and tobacco from the venue. AAP leader H S Phoolka said, “It is really shameful that such stuff is found here which proves that the people who were brought to the rally were lured with such stuff to be here.” BJP senior leader Prof. Rajinder Bhandari said on the matter, “AAP is a drama party, the allegations are baseless and its mere a propaganda of Aam Aadmi party.” People appreciated this gesture of AAP and Surrey resident Gurdev Singh Natt who hails from Jagraon expressed hope that AAP would clean the unprincipled and corrupt politics in Punjab the same way.
