Surrey: Surrey RCMP was investigating on scene in the 12800 block of 60 Avenue area of Surrey for a report of a shots fired.

At approximately 8:00 PM on Monday (June 27), Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a shots fired in the 12800 block of 60 Avenue. Officers attended and located evidence to support that shots had been fired in the area. No victims were located in the area.

The initial investigation has revealed that two vehicles were seen fleeing the scene shortly afterward the incident but the descriptions of the vehicles have not been confirmed at the time of report. Officers will be conducting neighbourhood canvassing and speaking with witnesses to obtain further information. The investigation is still in its early stages.

Traffic was closed in the area of 128 Street and 60 Avenue at the time of the incident but investigators have cleared the traffic in the area after some time.
