As of September 1st, the CBA will have a new board
After collecting extensive input over the past two years, we know that CBA members believe it’s important for the organization to have a Board of Directors that reflects the diversity of the legal profession, including a mix of practice types, experience, skills, geography and more.
Our new Board of Directors exemplifies this principle.
“This is a very exciting time for the CBA. We’ve assembled a leaner, more inclusive Board that will guide the CBA into the future, help us become more effective as an association and better meet the needs of our members.” – Kerry L. Simmons, Q.C., Incoming President and Board Member
The new Board will commence its mandate on September 1, 2017, and is composed of one member from each province and territory plus the CBA President. As the initial candidate for the Northwest Territories withdrew, the electoral process to select that director remains underway.
