bajrangi… That it’ll be a HIT was expected but to be declared a BLOCKBUSTER within three days is no small achievement and once again, the success reaffirms SALMAN KHAN’s box-office appeal as BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN became his eighth film to cross Rs. 100 Crores. The film is smashing records all over as Salman Juggernaut crossed Rs. 100 Crores by third day and Rs. 300 Crores worldwide by day 7 and now it’s to be seen if AAMIR KHAN is right as he’d predicted the film to beat PK record after seeing the film at a Mumbai theatre. Accolades are being showered on Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, child actor Harshal Malhotra, Nawazuddin Siddiqui & director Kabir Khan and yes, it sure is EID MUBARAK to Salman & his team of BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN!
Masaan is a Must but … It’s not releasing in Vancouver!!!
masaanNeeraj film MASAAN won two awards at this year’s Cannes International Film festival and critics are raving about it, however, the film with Richha Chaddha, Sanjay Mishra & others found no takers in British Columbia and sadly, is not releasing at any local theatres. While huge lineups are greeting cinegoers at every screening of BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN, there’s good news as India’s most expensive film to date BAHUBALI is finally releasing from July 24th at Strawberry Cineplex Odeon, Guildford, Silvercity Riverport, Richmond & Silvercity Mission amidst the reports that it’s inching towards Rs.500 Crores in box-office collection. With that, it’s time to say good bye but not before letting you know that this week’s YAADEIN is dedicated to singer MUKESH JI, whose 92nd birth anniversary was celebrated around the world on July 22nd and tickets for REMEMBERING MUKESH with NITIN MUKESH on SUNDAY, AUGUST 9th @ Surrey’s BELL Performing Arts CENTRE are selling out fast, and can be seen on Sunday,July 26th @ 1 `PM on SMC #116 !
