kpu-richmond-open-house_resizedKwantlen Polytechnic University’s (KPU) Richmond campus is gearing up for another fun-filled day of activities, interactive displays, and more at the upcoming Richmond Open House on Friday, October 21 from 11am-3pm, and you’re invited! The free, family-friendly event features something for everyone with contests, entertainment and exhibits from KPU’s departments and faculties, and a chance to win great prizes—including free tuition. It’s a smart way to spend a pro-d day. Bring your family, grab your friends, and watch for awesome giveaways and cool free swag.

Meet KPU staff, students, and faculty and score some free popcorn while checking out a range of activities. Stop by for a blood pressure check, squeeze in a quick workout playing table tennis, and discover how to turn copper pennies into silver ones. Unleash your inner creative designer and learn to create folded paper designs that are used for modelling and discover how a 3D printer works.

Get an up-close look at the Richmond campus during a guided tour. Check out classrooms, study spaces, graphic design computer labs with industry standard equipment and software, interior design work studios, production and sewing labs, and fully-equipped science labs.

Located steps away from the SkyTrain’s Canada Line, KPU Richmond is home to the university’s  Wilson School of Design, offering many one-of-a-kind credentials that cannot be found at other post-secondary institutions including the bachelor of design in product design, among the first of its kind in Canada; the bachelor of design in fashion and technology, the only four-year degree program of its kind in Western Canada; and the bachelor of interior design , the only program to receive accreditation from CIDA, the Council for Interior Design Accreditation.

Outside of the Wilson School of Design, the campus offers a range of programs and courses in academic and career advancement, the arts, business, and science and horticulture—including a bachelor of applied science in sustainable agriculture, a program unique to North America, and the new Traditional Chinese Medicine-Acupuncture diploma, based out of the Richmond campus.

The KPU Richmond Open House runs from 11am-3pm at KPU Richmond—8771 Lansdowne Road. For more information about the upcoming open house or to RSVP visit kpu.ca/openhouse.
