Two day site visit represents final step in evaluating Surrey for the title of Intelligent Community of the Year
Surrey: Surrey is competing to be named the World’s Most Intelligent Community after being selected as one of the Top 7 finalists by New York-based think tank the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF).
As part of the competition process a two day site visit from ICF co-founder Robert Bell will commence with a kickoff event at Surrey City Hall on April 9th at 10am. Mayor Linda Hepner will provide opening remarks, followed by a keynote address by Robert Bell.
Out of more than 300 nominations, the City of Surrey is the lone Canadian city in the Top 7 list and is now in contention for the prestigious designation of ‘Intelligent Community of the Year.’ The other six cities and towns on the list include three communities from the United States and one from Taiwan, Australia and Brazil respectively.
