See where science can take you on Saturday, May 13 at Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s (KPU) fifth annual Science rendezvous at the university’s Langley campus.

Take science out of the lab and onto the street as you conduct experiments, participate in activities, and explore interactive science labs including the nursing program’s high-tech patient simulator nursing labs, and the state-of-the-art brewery, with beer tastings available for those 19+.

Be entertained by a chemistry magic show, or the dancing fire display. Embrace your inner artist at the creative station and tickle your taste buds with edible weeds. The horticulture lab will be open for bug races, or discover your green thumb as you make seed bombs and newspaper pots.

Science Rendezvous is a national celebration of science with over 300 events happening in 30 cities across Canada. Promoting science awareness and literacy, over 6,000 Canadian innovators, researchers and scientists will be participating in experiments, activities, and demonstrations at organizations across the nation, promoting the benefits of science and engineering-related careers, and underscoring the importance of science in our everyday lives.

Science Rendezvous is happening Saturday, May 13 from 11am-3pm at KPU Langley—20901 Langley Bypass, Langley. The event is free and open to the public. RSVP now at kpu.ca/sr
