With the fall fast approaching and the back-to-school season upon us, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed with textbooks, tuition, and stacks of school supplies. But Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) has launched a new tutoring and mastering service to set students up for success and give them the advantage they’ll need in their studies.

KPU’s Advantage Tutoring and Mastering program is open to current high school students, grades 9-12, and offers tutoring support in English, math, biology, chemistry, and physics. Students who are already achieving 80% or higher in their courses and still want to boost their grades higher can utilize the mastering program—designed to help students achieve 90% or more in their courses.

The unique university-based service will help learners prep for university with the pros and employs tutors with university teaching experience, who all hold a master’s degree (and many who hold a PhD) in their respective fields. Advantage tutoring and mastering offers one-on-one sessions, as well as small group tutoring and group work sessions.

In addition to helping students in their studies, the Advantage program, offered on each of the university’s four Metro Vancouver campuses, equips students with study skills, tips for time management, and provides an easier transition to post-secondary learning.

Since first opening their doors over 30 years ago, more than 200,000 students have attended KPU with campuses in Langley, Richmond, Surrey, and Cloverdale. You could be one of them. More information about Advantage tutoring is available online at advantage.support@kpu.ca
