British humour is at it’s best can be found in One Man, Two Guvnors. Whether you hail from the Isles or not saucy English humour is on tap throughout this Arts Club extravaganza, now lighting hearts and tickling funny bones at The Arts Club Stanley Alliance industrial Stage.
A mistaken identity here, a mistaken identity there confounds a family in coastal Brighton. Two young people are set to wed in 1963. Back ended by a sly hip band that appears on Stage the set up is made. While the bride is set to marry a suave young man things get overly complicated when a man from her past mysteriously reappears.
Mixed up with the criminal element and a case of mistaken identities the girl and her family become caught in an insanely ridiculous situation. Where the hilarity really ramps up and gets completely out of control concerns a wacky manservant involved with both possible suitor families.
Extreme comedic chaos abounds in One Man, Two Guvnors. Add on a sly bit of audience participation and a rousing malfunctioning dinner party and the stage is set for a whole lot of fun.
