Surrey: A 49 year old male resident in the City Centre area of Surrey stabbed and transported to hospital in serious condition. Police said that the victim is suffering from serious injuries.

On February 13th at approximately 5:00am, Surrey RCMP received a report to assist emergency health services with an injured male located at a residence in the 11000 block of 136th Street.

Upon arrival, officers located a 49 year old male inside the residence suffering from an apparent stabbing injury. He was transported to local hospital in serious condition.

Initial investigation has revealed this to be a possible home invasion involving three suspects who came to the residence and assaulted the victim. Officers with the Surrey RCMP Serious Crime Unit are still in the early stages of their investigation, but initial indications are that this incident is targeted.
